This beautifully handcrafted set of wooden balls (or "giant marbles") is sure to become of favorite in your toddler or young child's toy box. Comes in a rainbow of colors and are packaged in a cardboard egg carton for handy storage when it's time to tidy up.
You may be surprised at the endless number of ways your child will play with this delightfully simple toy: use them to fill boxes, baskets or bowls, roll them on different surfaces, make them part of stacked creations built with wooden blocks, practice counting or sorting, use them like giant marbles for all kinds of games, as experimental weights on a balance/scale toy... the list goes on!
Each solid wood ball is 4.5 cm in diameter (about 1.8 inches). Sanded smooth by hand, then colored with certified safe nontoxic, water-based stains. Parents can rest easy, as no worrisome paint or lacquer is used. Grimm's does not use lacquer or paint for safety and in order to preserve the natural feel of the wood, which is in line with their aim to design toys according to principles of Waldorf and Montessori education.
